Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city

VIENNA, Austria — 23 December 2025 — Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators through public information points and community events. The Vienna effort is led by Gabriele Toker, a local organiser, the initiative relies on “Truth About Drugs” materials to present clear information on commonly abused substances, including the ongoing debate around cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. According to organisers, the Vienna activities aim to reach teenagers early, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, Scientology Europe while also supporting teachers seeking prevention tools for schools. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the European institutions and the United Nations, said: “Prevention works best when young people receive verified information early, in plain language—supporting both community well-being and European civic values.”
